Sayfa açılışını sinemaya ilgi duyma sebebim olan Amerikalı yönetmen David Lynch ve -bence- en iyi filmi Lost Highway (Kayıp Otoban) ile yapmak istedim. 1997 yapımı filmi belki henüz izlememiş
olanlarınız vardır. David Lynch'in muazzam müzik zevkini konuşturduğu, zaman ve mekan kavramlarını kaybedeceğiniz psikolojik bir gerilim filmi Lost Highway. Film, müzisyen Fred ve "femme fatale" karısı Renee arasındaki ilişki ile başlayıp bambaşka hülyalara doğru sürükleniyor. Filmin anlaşılması bir miktar zor olduğundan üzerine kitap yazıldığı bilgisini de vereyim. Ayrıca film kadar değerli olan soundtrack albümüne de göz atmayı unutmayın. "Lord of dreams" David Lynch!
I wanted to open the page with American director David Lynch, who is the reason I became interested in cinema, and - in my opinion - his best movie, Lost Highway. Maybe there are some of you who haven't watched the 1997 movie yet. Lost Highway is a psychological thriller in which David Lynch uses his great taste in music and will make you lose the concepts of time and space. The film begins with the relationship between musician Fred and his "femme fatale" wife Renee and drifts towards completely different dreams. Since the movie is a bit difficult to understand, let me also inform you that a book has been written about it. Also, don't forget to take a look at the soundtrack album, which is as valuable as the movie. David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Lou Reed are some of the names whose songs appear on the album... Romantik bir suç draması "American Hustle"
İşte yine müziklerine doyamadığımız yakın dönemde çekilmiş, harika oyuncularla şahlanan bir film; American Hustle. Film 1970 ve 1980'lerdeki FBI Abscam Operasyonu'nundan esinlenmiş. Güçlü karakter analizleri, karakterlerin birbirleri ile olan ilişkilerini gerçekçi bir şekilde önümüze sermesi, konu örgüsü ve muhteşem müzik seçimleriyle bu filmin hakettiği yeri bulamadığını düşünüyorum. Filmde beni kalbimden vuran sahne bir Jefferson Airplane şarkısı olan White Rabbit'in Arapça bir versiyonla sunulması. İşte bu güçlü bir yönetmen sahnesidir. Alkışlıyor ve göz atmanız için fragman linkini aşağı bırakıyorum.

A Romantic crime drama "American Hustle"
Here is a movie that caught my attention with its great actors, shot recently, whose music we can't get enough of; American Hustle. The film was inspired by the FBI's Operation Abscam in the 1970s and 1980s. I think this movie did not find the place it deserved with its strong character analysis, plot, and wonderful music choices. The scene in this movie that struck me in the heart is the presentation of White Rabbit, a Jefferson Airplane song, in an Arabic version, and its perfect harmony with the scene. This is a strong director scene. I applaud it and leave the trailer link below for you to take a look at.

Görkemli partiler ve Caz Çağı Amerikası; The Great Gatsby!
Genellikle popüler şeylere karşı önyargılıyımdır. Bu yüzden bu filmi çok geç izleyebildim. Üstelik Jack White'ın yorumladığı, bir 2U şarkısı olan efsanevi cover Love is Blindness ile tanıtılmasına rağmen... Baz Luhrmann filmlerini kafa şişirici bulup izlemezdim ama bu filmi izlediğimde nasıl bir hata yaptığımı farkettiğim filmde bizi görsel ve işitsel bir şölenle büyüleyen Baz Luhrmann favori yönetmenlerim arasına girdi. Film F. Scott Fitzgerald'ın aynı isimli romanından uyarlama. Amerika'nın görkemli partiler, alkol yasakları, ve caz müziğin yükselişiyle anılan "Caz Çağı" dönemine şahitlik ediyoruz. Yönetmen bize bu filmle ritmi hiç düşmeyen görsel bir şölen sunuyor. Leonarda DiCaprio'nun oyunculuğu ve Carey Mulligan'ın bebeksi güzelliği ise artısı.

Glamorous parties and "Jazz Age" America!
I'm usually biased towards popular things. That's why I watched this movie so late. Moreover, even though it was introduced with the legendary cover Love is Blindness, a 2U song interpreted by Jack White... I used to find Baz Luhrmann's movies intoxicating and never watch them, but when I watched this movie, I realized what a mistake I made. Baz Luhrmann, who fascinated us with a visual and auditory feast in the movie, became one of my favorite directors. The film is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel of the same name. We are witnessing America's "Jazz Age" period, which is remembered for spectacular parties, alcohol prohibitions, and the rise of jazz music. With this film, the director offers us a visual feast whose rhythm never slows down. Leonarda DiCaprio's acting and Carey Mulligan's baby beauty are its pluses. Öncelikle filmi sinematografik açıdan incelemek gereksiz olur. Sinemasal bir kaygı ile değil tamamen mesaj verme gayesi ile çekilmiş. Hatta bunu hiçbir alt okumaya gerek görmeden direkt olarak yapıyor. Asıl dikkat çeken ya da dikkat çekmesi istenen, filmin yapımcılarının Michelle-Barack Obama olması. Bunun açık şekilde beyan edilmesinin soru işaretleri doğurmak, komplo teorilerini beslemek adına olduğunu düşünüyorum.
Bizler için patlamış mısır eşliğinde iki saatlik sinema eğlencesi tasarlanmamış.
Filmin genelinde sunulan önerme ilk bakışta sanılanın aksine "internet olmazsa halimiz ne olur" değil, tüm bu sistemlerin bir siber saldırı kadar güvende olduğu. Bazı ırksal önyargılara da değinilmiş. Uçaktan atılan Arapça yazılar ve yolda yalnız bırakılan İspanyol bir kadın örneği gibi.
Siber saldırılarla bu şekilde sonuçlar elde edilebilir mi, film bizlere iyi niyetli bir mesaj mı sunuyor yoksa klasik bir korku yaratma projesi mi ilerleyen günlerde göreceğiz.

Will you be able to leave Earth behind? "Leave the World Behind"
First of all, it would be unnecessary to examine the film from a cinematographic perspective. It was shot with the aim of giving a message, not with any cinematic concern. In fact, it does this directly without any need for sub-reading. What really draws attention, or is intended to draw attention, is that the producers of the film are Michelle-Barack Obama. I think stating this openly is meant to raise questions and feed conspiracy theories.
The proposition presented throughout the film is not "what would happen to us without the internet", contrary to what might be thought at first glance, but that all these systems are as safe as a cyber attack. Some racial prejudices are also mentioned. With the example of Arabic writings thrown from the plane and a Spanish woman left alone on the road.
We will see in the coming days whether such results can be achieved through cyber attacks, whether the film offers us a well-intentioned message or whether it is a classic fear creation project.

"Babylon" ve Damien Chazelle
"Artık yeni çekilmiş, iyi bir film izlemek istiyorum" diyerek açtığım filmin en başında kendimi Baz Luhrman'ın Great Gatsby'sinde bulmuş gibi oldum. Büyük bir ev partisiyle açılış -ev demek çok doğru olmaz malikane diyelim- en az Gatsby'ninki kadar görkemli sayılırdı. Fakat; ne yazık ki izlerken beni mest eden yetenek ve profesyonellik yoktu. Sözü hiç uzatmayacağım. Son dönem dünya sinemasının bana hissettirdiği, eski usta yönetmenlerin yeniden tekrarı ve toparlaması gibi olduğu. Sanırım artık bir David Lynch, bir Tarantino, bir Kubrick çıkaramayacağız. Sinemada benim uydurduğum bir tanımlama olan “post-modern-repeat” bir döneme girilmiş gibi.
Filmin müzikleri ise Amerikan film müziği bestecisi Justin Hurwitz' e emanet edilmiş ki bunu en başından hissedebiliyorsunuz. Kendisi daha önce La La Land'in müziklerini de yapmıştı. Filmden en ok aklımda kalan sahneler Margot Robbie'nin teatral oyunculuk sergiledikleri oldu. bir de başlangıçtaki fil taşıma seramonisi üzerine düşünmeye sevketti diyebilirim. "Babylon" and Damien Chazelle
I opened the movie by saying "I want to watch a new, good movie now" and felt like I found myself in Baz Luhrman's Great Gatsby. The opening with a big house party - it wouldn't be right to call it a house, let's say a mansion - was considered at least as magnificent as Gatsby's. But; Unfortunately, it lacked the talent and professionalism that enchanted me while watching it. I won't mince words. What I feel about the recent world cinema is that it is like a repetition and regrouping of old master directors. I guess we won't be able to produce a David Lynch, a Tarantino, a Kubrick anymore. It seems like we have entered a "post-modern-repeat" era in cinema, which is a definition I made up. The music of the film was entrusted to American film music composer Justin Hurwitz, and you can feel this from the very beginning. He had previously composed the music for La La Land. The scenes that I remember most from the movie were Margot Robbie's theatrical acting. I can also say that it made me think about the elephant carrying ceremony in the beginning.
